Dr. Scott Musicant
Medical Director
Scott E. Musicant, M.D., grew up in La Mesa, California and graduated from Valhalla High School. He completed his undergraduate degree at UCLA in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Vermont in 1998. Following medical school Dr. Musicant moved to Portland, Oregon where he completed 5 years of general surgical training and a year of vascular research and his two-year fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery at Oregon Health & Science University.
Since completing his training in 2006, Dr. Musicant has been actively practicing in San Diego and has developed a busy and reputable cosmetic vein practice. In 2019 he partnered with Molly Shea, RN and together they started San Diego Aesthetics and Med Spa. Since opening, San Diego Aesthetics and Med Spa has become the premier medical spa in East County.

Molly Shea has been a Registered Nurse in the aesthetic medicine industry for over 15 years, bringing extensive experience across a broad spectrum of treatments ranging from noninvasive cosmetic procedures to plastic surgery. Her true specialty lies in cosmetic injectables, where she has developed a refined, artistic approach known for delivering beautiful, natural results. Molly is deeply committed to maintaining a supportive, ethical environment where patients feel educated, empowered, and cared for. What she loves most about her work is helping people see their own beauty.
Makenna Schultz

Makenna Schultz has over nine years of nursing experience across multiple areas of practice, bringing a well-rounded clinical background to the field of medical aesthetics. She has developed advanced knowledge and skill in aesthetic nursing, seamlessly blending her passion for beauty with a strong medical foundation. Makenna’s favorite part of her work is helping patients feel confident, empowered, and truly beautiful in their own skin through safe, personalized treatments.
Kristen Gangel

Kristen Gangel is an aesthetic nurse injector who has been with San Diego Aesthetics and Med Spa for over 5 years. She specializes in subtle enhancements that refresh and refine without looking overdone. She takes a thoughtful, individualized approach to every treatment, carefully listening to each patient’s goals and creating customized plans that enhance their unique features. Kristen is passionate about blending medical expertise with aesthetic artistry, prioritizing safety, precision, and patient education at every step.
Anna Fox
Aesthetician, Body Contouring Specialist
Anna Fox has been practicing in medical aesthetics since receiving her certification in 2013. Her passion for skin care came at an early age while struggling with her own skin, giving her a unique understanding of her patient’s needs. The techniques she has learned through her years of hands-on experience and continued education helps her customize and treat each patient’s specific skin care concerns with a gentle, healing touch.
Maura Baban
Operations Director, Aesthetician
Maura Baban brings over a decade of experience in medical aesthetics, with a strong foundation in both clinical care and practice management. She began her career in 2015 as a Licensed Aesthetician specializing in corrective skincare before expanding into leadership roles within the practice. As Operations Director, Maura oversees daily operations, team development, and patient experience, ensuring the practice runs seamlessly and upholds the highest standards of care. She is passionate about cultivating a supportive environment where both patients and providers thrive and where exceptional service and results are the standard.
Leslie Valverde
Front Office Manager
Leslie Valverde brings over five years of experience in the medical aesthetics industry, backed by a decade in the cosmetics and beauty space. Her passion for aesthetics grew from a genuine love of helping others feel confident and informed about the treatments available to support graceful aging. As our Front Office Manager, Leslie ensures every patient experience is seamless, welcoming, and thoughtfully organized from the moment they walk through our doors. Outside of the office, Leslie works as a freelance makeup artist and loves helping her clients look and feel their most beautiful for life’s special moments.
Kennedy Larson - Patient Relations Coordinator
As Patient Relations Coordinator, Kennedy is dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming experience for every patient while ensuring their journey with our practice feels seamless and personalized. Kennedy also serves as our Social Media Coordinator, connecting with the community through engaging, educational content that reflects our values and expertise. Kennedy is currently pursuing her nursing degree and has a strong passion for helping others feel confident and empowered in their own skin. She aspires to become a nurse injector and is excited to continue learning alongside experienced providers while building a strong foundation in medical aesthetics.
Savannah Toma - Patient Care Coordinator
Savannah Toma holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and brings a well-rounded background in patient care to the aesthetics field. With hands-on experience as both a case manager and physical therapy aide, she has developed a strong foundation in patient-centered care and a deep understanding of overall health and wellness. In addition to her work in aesthetics, Savannah is also a Pilates instructor, reflecting her passion for helping others feel strong, confident, and balanced from the inside out. She is dedicated to creating personalized experiences for each patient, with a focus on achieving healthy, radiant results.
Carrie Musicant – PA
Carrie Musicant, PA, received her B.S. in Physician Assistant Studies from Oregon Health & Science University in 2001. Since 2009 she has worked as a Physician’s Assistant and Surgical Assistant at Vascular Associates of San Diego where she specializes in both vascular and cardiovascular surgical cases. Carrie loves being a part of the team at San Diego Aesthetics where she helps to ensure a safe, comfortable experience for patients.
